No sooner did Palm Beach Ocean Rescue reopen the Midtown Beach to swimmers Tuesday at about 2 p.m., than they closed the waterfront at Phipps Ocean Park for the remainder of the day because of shark sightings.

The presence of sharks prompted Palm Beach Ocean Rescue to close the beach at Phipps Ocean Park Wednesday to swimmers.
