TopRank is the ranking module built into the Insights system that helps rank products within a category at a functional level. A good example is "Top Blenders for making smoothies". The Insights system first extracts out positive experiences of users associated with that product function for each product in a given category. This forms one of the key factors in computing TopRank for a product. Other factors include the overall rating for a product, how often buyers have rated it, how well it is selling, as well as how its price is trending.
The next step in TopRank is normalizing the scores for products in a given category, and assigning a rank to each one of them. Currently, TopRank for each product is refreshed at least once a day, to help provide you with the most up-to date information that is helpful & timely.
