Geo-Popularity Platform - F. A. Q.

  • What is Wowzio's Geo-Popularity Platform?
  • Wowzio's Geo-Popularity is a web-scale platform, that is used to compute popularity of blog posts, based on the number of readers reading a blog post and their engagement with a blog post, computed over various dimensions, especially geo-location and time.
  • What data do we store in this Platform?
  • We store information about a blog post, details about its various read-events, including the geo-location of the user reading it.
  • What data do we not store in this Platform?
  • We do not store any personally identifiable information of the user reading a blog post.
  • How can I make sure my blog is included in Wowzio's Geo-Popularity Platform?
  • When you install one of Wowzio's widgets or Badges on your blog, your blog is automatically included in Wowzio's Geo-Popularity Platform. The way it works is that Wowzio's widgets ( and badges ) have a built-in javascript beacon, which beacons relevant information back to Wowzio's Geo-Popularity platform, when a user engages with a blog post.

Here's a list of apps built on top of the Geo-Popularity Platform:

Popular Posts
