Why and What?
We were really wow'ed by the amazing content that bloggers were putting up in their blog posts. And started thinking what could be done to further enhance the blog reading experience ? Thats when we came up with the idea of widgets that provide an elegant and simple way for blog readers, to navigate and discover awesome content on blogs ( which over time, becomes harder to discover ). Team
  • Manish Baldua, Co-Founder
  • Prior to Wowzio, Manish headed up the engineering team for Yahoo! Shopping Group ( Shopping, Real Estate, Classifieds and Auctions), a $100+ million business unit. He worked at Yahoo! for 9+ years and has been closely involved in the architecture and buildout of various backend systems over the years. He also worked closely with cross-functional teams across product, business, and marketing. Manish obtained his M.S. in Computer Science from SUNY - Albany. See more info on his LinkedIn profile.
  • Ashish Baldua, Co-Founder
  • Prior to Wowzio, Ashish headed up the engineering team for the Yahoo! STAR properties ( Shopping, Travel, Autos, Realestate ). He worked at Yahoo! the last 11 years on various e-commerce properties. Apart from leading various engineering teams, Ashish has a lot of expereience on the product and business aspects in the internet space. He holds a M.S in Computer Science from SUNY, Stony Brook.   • Nimit Maru, Co-Founder
  • Prior to Wowzio, Nimit was a midnight warrior at Yahoo! where he worked as a Sr. Software Engineer on Yahoo! Travel. During his 3 years there, he drove innovation, won several Hack Day awards, and launched several products. Most recently, Nimit was responsible for conceptualizing, developing and launching Yahoo!   • Saikat Bose, Media Relations
  • At Wowzio, Saikat is responsible for media relations, content strategy & website optimization. Saikat completed his M.C.A. at Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra. Prior to Wowzio, Saikat had been involved in enterprising web startups.
  • Alisha Wright, Community Manager
  • Alisha is helping build and nurture a community that's passionate about Wowzio. She recently graduated with a Major in Mass Communications.
